Sony SSPTM304 CCD Black & White Video Cameras
The Sony SPT-M304CE are 1/3-inch CCD CCIR standard, black and white high resolution video cameras specifically designed for surveillance and monitoring systems. Using Sony Hyper HADTM (Hole Accumulated Diode) CCD technology, SPT-M304CE cameras attain a high horizontal resolution of 570TV lines. In addition, these cameras provide convenient functions such as BLC (Back Light Control), CCD IRIS TM and AC Line Lock with V-phase adjustability.
Featuring excellent picture performance and an impressive cost-performance ratio, SPT-M304CE cameras are suitable for demanding surveillance and monitoring applications.
To accommodate differing user requirements, Sony provides a choice of two models that operate from different power sources: the SPT-M304CE operates from 24V AC.
Superior Picture Quality
SPT-M304CE cameras incorporate a 1/3-inch IT (Interline Transfer) Hyper HAD CCD with 440,000 effective picture elements, which delivers an outstanding resolution of 570TV lines. Even in poor light conditions (0.5 lx), SPT-M304CE cameras produce high quality pictures with sufficient contrast to allow good object recognition.
CCD IRIS Function
This function allows the use of a manual iris lens instead of a more costly automatic iris lens. As the scene illumination level increases, SPT-M304CE cameras respond by automatically reducing the exposure time of the photo sensors. This is achieved by changing the electronic shutter speed of the CCD, in the range of 1/50 of a second to 1/50,000 of a second. This feature also provides clear motion pictures under appropriate light conditions.
Auto Iris Lens Connection
In applications requiring an increased dynamic range such as outdoor applications, SPT-M304CE are also capable of accepting auto iris lenses*.

Backlight Compensation Function
When using auto iris lenses or the CCD IRIS function, SPT-M304CE cameras can adjust the picture brightness for various lighting conditions with the LEVEL and BLC (Back Light Control) controls on the side panel. These controls add greater flexibility to vary the range of backlight compensation to suit the application.
AC Line Lock Capability
SPT-M304CE cameras feature AC Line Lock for external synchronization. This feature is especially useful in multi-camera installations where automatic switching is employed and allows for easy roll switching from camera to camera. The AC power frequency (50Hz) is used as the vertical sync reference of the camera and there is an externally adjustable Vertical-Phase (?90?) control. This makes camera installation and synchronization remarkably easy and simple for both new and existing camera systems.
C/CS-mount Lens Compatibility
SPT-M304CE cameras can be used either with C-mount or CS-mount lenses and precise back-focus adjustment can be easily accomplished. This broadens your choice of lens.
