Sony SSC-C104P CCD Colour Video Camera

To accommodate differing user requirements, Sony provides a choice of two models that operate from different power sources: the SSC-C108P operates from 230V AC and the SSC-C104P operates from 24V AC.

High Picture Quality

SSC-C104P/C108P cameras incorporate a 1/3-inch IT (Interline Transfer) Hyper HAD CCD with 290,000 effective picture elements. This allows these cameras to attain a horizontal resolution of 330TV lines and high sensitivity with a minimum illumination of 1.2 lx at F1.2 (50 IRE, AGC ON with Turbo mode) and an excellent signal-to-noise ratio of 52dB.

Backlight Compensation Function

If the subject is against the light and is in shadow, SSC-C104P/C108P cameras can automatically compensate for the backlight condition by switching the BLC switch to ON, making the subject more easily visible. This feature adds greater flexibility to surveillance and monitoring systems.

Advanced Turbo AGC

In addition to the conventional AGC function, SSC-C104P/C108P cameras are equipped with a new advanced Turbo AGC function, which automatically boosts the camera's video gain over the AGC range so that the subject under low illumination can be distinguished more clearly. This feature affords more certainty to surveillance and monitoring operation.

CCD IRIS Function

This function allows the use of a manual iris lens instead of a more costly automatic iris lens. As the scene illumination level increases, SSC-C104P/C108P cameras respond by automatically reducing the exposure time of the photo sensors. This is achieved by changing the electronic shutter speed of the CCD, in the range of 1/50 of a second to 1/100,000 of a second. This feature also provides clear motion pictures under appropriate light conditions.

Automatic White Balance Control

SSC-C104P/C108P cameras incorporate a wide-range ATW (Auto Tracing White Balance) function. It adjusts the white balance automatically in response to the lighting conditions so that pictures with an appropriate colour balance can always be obtained.

AC Line Lock Capability

SSC-C104P/C108P cameras feature AC Line Lock for external synchronization. Using the AC power frequency (50Hz) as the vertical sync reference provides roll-free switching in multi-camera installations. In addition, as SSC-C104P/C108P cameras have an externally adjustable Vertical Phase (?90?) control, completely accurate synchronization can be attained.

DC and Video Servo Auto Iris Lens Connection

Capability SSC-C104P/C108P cameras are equipped with a 4-pin auto iris connector for the attachment of auto iris lenses. Either a DC or a VIDEO servo type auto iris lens can be attached.

C/CS-mount Lens Compatibility

SSC-C104P/C108P cameras can be used either with C-mount or CS-mount lenses and precise back-focus adjustment can be easily accomplished. This broadens your choice of lens.
